Wooden Watch: My New Favorite Nerdy Accessory

Happy April, y’all! Even though it’s not quite warm here in Chicago yet, I’ve been giving a lot of thought to the accessories I’ll be wearing this spring. I’m really excited to bring out my usual floral shoes and buy a new pair of sunglasses, but a new accessory has caught me off-guard as a favorite that I’ll be wearing this season—my JORD wooden watch!

I was never much of a watch wearer, especially when I started carrying a cellphone with me at all times and knew there would be a clock in every classroom that I attended as a student. Now, however, I’m an adult who sometimes attends meetings in clock-less rooms, dresses professionally every work day and, most importantly, likes to treat myself!

I recently started wearing this wooden watch to work, and now I wear it almost every time I leave the house. The dark sandalwood watchband makes me feel classy and pairs well with my nerdy wardrobe, because I feel like I’m bringing the vibe of an old library with me everywhere I go. And, even though I’m a Gryffindor, my friends tell me I’m channeling my inner Slytherin when I rock the emerald watch face!

JORD has gorgeous, minimalist wooden watches for both men and women in a variety of colors and wood types to choose from. While I preferred the darker color scheme, there are some really nice light ones that I think would look great with spring wardrobes! And, better news, you can enter my giveaway below to win $100 to put toward your next purchase!

  1. Ooh I love the dark wood with the emerald face! That would go with a lot of my spring and fall wardrobe! I’ll have to check this out!
